Standing Behind the Men and Women Who Serve
Every day, the men and women of our Police Department, Fire Department, EMS, and emergency communications put themselves in harm's way to protect the rest of us. They answer the calls that most of us hope we never have to make. They respond during emergencies, comfort families during difficult moments, and run toward danger when everyone else is running away.
Over the years, I've had the opportunity to work alongside many of our first responders through community organizations and nonprofit service, and I've seen firsthand the professionalism and dedication they bring to our city.
They deserve a city government that supports them every step of the way.
As your next councilman, I will work to ensure our first responders have the resources, leadership, and support they need to continue serving our community safely and effectively.

Public safety is one of the most important responsibilities of city government.
My commitment is simple: support the professionals who serve our community, continue improving emergency response, invest in prevention, and ensure our first responders have the resources they need to succeed both on and off the job.
When our first responders are supported, our neighborhoods are stronger, our families are safer, and our entire community benefits.
Corpus Christi has some of the finest public servants anywhere. As your councilman, I'll work every day to make sure they know this city stands behind them.
Improving Emergency Response
If you've ever had to call 911, you know that every minute matters.
Whether it's a medical emergency, a house fire, or a crime in progress, response times can make all the difference. Even what seems like a short delay can feel like an eternity when your family is waiting for help to arrive.
I will work closely with the City Manager, our Police Chief, our Fire Chief, and emergency management professionals to identify opportunities to improve response times for both emergency and non-emergency calls.
Public safety begins with making sure help arrives when people need it most.
Focusing on Prevention
One of the best ways to improve public safety is to prevent emergencies before they happen.
That means supporting community policing efforts, investing in crime prevention strategies, and strengthening partnerships between public safety agencies and the neighborhoods they serve.
A safer community benefits everyone. It protects families, supports local businesses, and helps make Corpus Christi a place where people feel comfortable living, working, and investing.
Supporting the Mental Health of First Responders
Providing new equipment and modern facilities is important, but supporting our first responders goes far beyond trucks, patrol cars, and technology.
Every day, our police officers, firefighters, paramedics, and dispatchers witness situations that most people will never experience. Those experiences can take a tremendous toll on their mental health and well-being.
We have a responsibility to make sure they receive support not only while they're on duty, but throughout their careers.
I want to explore programs like Share the Load and other peer-supported mental health initiatives that provide confidential assistance to first responders who are struggling with the emotional weight of their profession.
Taking care of the people who protect us is simply the right thing to do.
